The Saratoga race track is a famous horse track located in Saratoga Springs, New York.

It was closed for World War II in 1911 and 1912 and in one other instance when New York legislation closed the Saratoga race track.
In 1864, the Saratoga race track opened for its first meet although the first race was in 1863. A horse named Kentucky won the first running of the Travers Stakes at the Saratoga race track.
