Breeders Cup Wagering Menu Changes For 2008

November 30th, 2010 Breeders Cup Betting

Breeders Cup wagering menu choices have undergone some very serious changes over time.

It would seem that the 2007 and 2008 Breeders Cup odds wagering will go down in history as two very pivotal years. Last year came the monumental change to make the Breeders Cup wagering menu a two-day event, and this year the Breeders Cup odds wagering will be extended further by the inclusion of several new races.

Breeders Cup wagering menu purists may not agree with the inclusion of the new races, but for the majority of fans looking to play the Breeders Cup wagering menu, ‘the more the merrier’ seems to be the mantra of choice. What horse racing fan wouldn’t enjoy more opportunities to expand their exposure to Breeders Cup odds wagering? In simple terms, the more races that appear on the Breeders Cup wagering menu, the more chances fans have to bet on them. And who doesn’t like the sound of that?

In 2007, the event, which had simply grown too large for one day of racing, adopted a two day format which divided the races on the Breeders Cup wagering menu into two days. The first day, Friday, is now devoted entirely to a wide selection of races for fillies and mares. The second day of the Breeders Cup wagering menu is now for all the other races, including the Turf and the Classis, which remain the main draw for Breeders Cup odds wagering fans.

In 2008 there are also big changes in store as several more races have been added to the Breeders Cup wagering menu in order to expand the racing excitement even further. There are now 14 races in total on the Breeders Cup wagering menu thanks to this year’s inaugural running of the Turf Sprint, Juvenile Filly Turf and the Marathon races which will all be run for the first time this year. The Juvenile Filly Turf race is long overdue, but the Turf Sprint and the Marathon are two very refreshing entries on the Breeders Cup wagering menu.

The addition to the Breeders Cup wagering menu comes on the heels of the addition of three new races last year. Over a two year span, a total of six races have been added to the Breeders Cup racing menu, nearly doubling the racing total and certainly re-shaping the Breeders Cup for years to come.
