The 2012-13 NBA season will finally get underway for New York fans tonight when the World Champion Miami Heat pay a visit to meet the Knicks. The unfortunate circumstances surrounding Hurricane Sandy forced postponement of the Knicks and Nets meeting in Brooklyn on Thursday, but the game will go on this evening. Start time in Madison Square Garden is 8:05 PM ET and the game will be carried by ESPN.
