No. 6 Wisconsin routs No.23 Ohio State 72-48 in Big Ten game

In this final game between the No.6 Badgers and the No.23 Buckeyes the game scoring was led in both the 1st and 2nd quarter as the Badgers scored more than thirty points in both halves of the game while the Buckeyes score at least 20 points in both halves, The actual scoring in the 1s quarter saw the Badgers outscoring the Buckeyes 37-23 thus Ohio State went to half-time in the game with a 14 point deficit. The 2nd half the Buckeyes were unable to overcome their 1st half deficit of 14 points and also were outscored by 10 points in the second half increasing their deficit in the game to 24 points, as the Badgers outscored them 35-25 in the 2nd half of the game to win No. 6 Wisconsin 72 and No. 23 Ohio State 48.

The top 5 performances in this game for the Badgers of Wisconsin came from forward-Kaminsky-20 points 5 rebounds 3 assists 1 steal, guard-Koenig-15 points 2 rebounds 2 assists, forward-Dekker-10 points 8 rebounds 1 assist 2 steals, forward-Haves-8 points 8 rebounds 2 assists 2 steals and forward Dukan-7 points and 4 rebounds.

Leading 5 performances for the Buckeyes of Ohio State came from guard-Russell-17 points 1 rebound 5 assists 1 steal, forward-Tate-13 points 6 rebounds 1 assist, guard-Scott-10 points 4 rebounds 3 assists 3 steals, center-Williams-4 points 5 rebounds 1 steal and forward-Thompson-2 points 6 rebounds and 2 steals.

Comparing the team scoring statistics we see the Badgers who scored the winning 72 points in the game made 62 field goal attempts, making 31 for 50% completion, and on 3-pointers they made 7 of 21 for 33% completion, and on foul shots made 3 of 3 for a 100% completion rate while committing 11 fouls in the game.

On the other side the Buckeyes who scored 48 points in the game attempted 53 field goal shots making 18 for 34% completion, then on 3-pointers they made 3 of 15 for 20% completion, and on foul shots they made 9 of 14 for a 64% completion rate and committed 7 fouls in the game, and neither team had a Technical foul or any Flagrant fouls.

The leaders in this game for point scoring, was Kaminsky for the Badgers with 20 points and Russell for the Buckeyes with 14. On rebounds the leader for WIS was Dekker with 8 and Tate for OSU with 6 rebounds. On assists the leader was Kaminsky for WIS with 3 and Russell for ODU with 5 assists. The most steals in the game for WIS was Hayes with 2 and Scott for OSU with 3. On blocked shots Kaminsky for WIS had 1 block and Thompson for OSU had 1 block as well.

At half time in this game with some 18,076 fans on hand got to see the Ohio State 2014-15 National Football Championship team as several of the players participated with a dance troupe during the half time show.

Now that the 2014-15 regular seasons for both the Badgers and Buckeyes have ended, the fans will have to wait for the Big Ten Tournament to see these two teams play again. The Badgers of Wisconsin will play at noon on Friday either Illinois, who are the 8th seed, or Michigan the 9th seed, whichever team wins that game, The Buckeyes of Ohio State will play Rutgers, Minnesota or Northwestern on Thursday night at 9 PM ET.
