It might seem shocking but both teams are coming off bet on football wins last week. Here is a look at this NFL bet matchup between the Raiders and Browns.
NFL bet results had the Raiders shocking the Denver Broncos last week while the Browns won in Kansas City. Oakland and Cleveland have been among the worst teams in the league this season but both teams have shown signs of life in recent NFL bet weeks. Cleveland has been rumored to be in the running for Mike Holmgren but the distractions didn’t hurt them last week in an NFL bet win over Kansas City. The Browns got two kickoff returns for touchdowns by Joshua Cribbs and a monster game from running back Jerome Harrison in the NFL bet victory over Oakland. "For the past two, three weeks, Josh and I have had a personal [competition] against each other," Harrison said. "He set the tempo and set it pretty high, but I told him at halftime, 'I'm going to get you.'" Cribbs broke the NFL record for most kickoff returns in a career as he now has eight. Harrison was even better though as he ran for 286 yards which broke Jim Brown’s team record for rushing yards.
The NFL bet win last week by Cleveland may have been a minor surprise but the Raiders win in Oakland was shocking. The Raiders got a 10-yard TD pass from JaMarcus Russell to Chaz Schilens with 35 seconds left as they defeated Denver 20-19 for those that bet on football. Russell came into the game after Charlie Frye was knocked out in the fourth quarter.
The Raiders and Browns have met four times in NFL bet contests since Cleveland got their team again. The Browns have won three of those five and they are 4-1 against the NFL bet odds. The teams met two years ago in Oakland and the Raiders won 26-24. The Browns won 24-21 in 2006 and 9-7 in 2005. The only NFL bet game in Cleveland was a 13-7 win for the Browns in bet on football action. Oakland has actually won five games straight up this season and they are 7-7 against the NFL bet line. On the road they are 4-3 against the bet on football pointspread.
