Houston at Los Angeles Lakers NBA Betting

NBA betting has the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers favored at home on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets.

It is already the third time these two teams have met this season. Each team has won once this season in basketball betting after the Lakers swept the Rockets a year ago.

NBA betting has the Lakers at 6-4 against the Rockets in their last 10 games overall. At Staples Center, the Lakers are 12-8 all-time against the Rockets and 5-5 in their last 10. Under head coach Phil Jackson, the Lakers are 25-11 against Houston.  Kobe Bryant is now averaging 27 points per game against Houston in his career. Kobe had 41 points in a 103-102 overtime win at Houston in November. Aaron Brooks poured in a career-high 33 points in a 101-91 Houston win later that month at Los Angeles.  The Rockets have won at least one game at Los Angeles every year since 2002-03. This should be an interesting meeting, especially if Ron Artest is back for the Lakers. He is always inspired to play his former team and Houston’s Trevor Ariza always likes to come back to Los Angeles.

NBA betting has been pretty successful on Houston this season.  The Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Western Conference. Houston has struggled on the road of late though in basketball betting. They are 0-4 in NBA betting lines in their last 4 road games. Houston has struggled at Los Angeles in this NBA betting series. The Rockets are 2-6 vs. the NBA betting line in the last 8 meetings in Los Angeles

The Lakers are 2-5 in NBA betting in their last 7 games overall. The Lakers are 2-6 vs. the NBA betting pointspread in their last 8 vs. Western Conference. The Lakers are 1-5 in NBA betting in their last 6 home games. The home team in this series between the Rockets and Lakers is 5-1 against the NBA betting odds in the last 6 meetings.

The last four Houston road games have all gone under the basketball betting total.  On the other side, the last five Lakers games have all gone over in NBA betting. Four of the last five Los Angeles home games have gone over. In this series between Houston and the Lakers, five of the last six in Los Angeles have gone under in basketball betting.
