Mike Swick vs. Paulo Thiago UFC 109 Betting

December 2, 2010 UFC

UFC betting on Saturday, February 6th in UFC 109 includes a fight between Mike Swick and Paulo Thiago.

UFC betting was supposed to have Josh Koscheck in this bout against Thiago but he was injured and Swick stepped in.  Swick is coming off a loss by unanimous decision in UFC odds to Dan Hardy in UFC 105 while Thiago recently defeated Jacob Volkmann at UFC 106.

UFC betting has this as one of the main bouts on the UFC 109 card that features Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman.  Swick and Thiago should be a one of the better feature bouts as Swick has only lost twice in his last 11 fights.  Thiago’s only defeat game to Jon Fitch at UFC 100. Thiago had a big win in UFC betting when he defeated Koscheck in February of 2009. He lost to Fitch but got the win against Volkmann in UFC betting last time out.

UFC betting on UFC 109 gives gamblers a total of 11 fights to choose from.  Couture is heavily favored in UFC odds in the main event bout against Coleman.  Thiago is the likely favorite against Swick in his bout. Nate Marquardt is about a 3-1 UFC betting favorite as he faces Chael Sonnen.  Demian Maia is favored by about the same amount in UFC odds as he faces Dan Miller.  The other bout on the feature pay-per-view card has Matt Serra taking on Frank Trigg. If the UFC betting odds are any indication, this could be the best fight of the night. Serra is a slight favorite in UFC odds. Many of the bouts in UFC 109 have some big odds but that is not the case with Serra and Trigg. They both have their supporters so this should be a good fight that gets two-way action at the sportsbook.

The Spike TV card has two bouts that will be shown live. It is Mac Danzig facing Justin Buchholz in a lightweight bout.  The other Spike TV fight has Ronnys Torres against Melvin Guillard.

The preliminary card in UFC 109 has a total of four bouts that will not be televised. It is Phillipe Nover facing Rob Emerson in UFC betting.  It is Brian Stann vs. Phil Davis on the UFC betting card. It is Tim Hague vs. Chris Tuchscherer and it will be Mostapha Al-turk vs. Rolles Gracie in UFC betting.
