Sportsbook Odds of Michael Vick Returning to the NFL

Sportsbook odds competition is full of athletes that are rotten people or have made awful mistakes. But judging people is a job for the courts not the NFL commissioner, and there is no reason why Michael Vick should not be playing for some franchise when the NFL online sportsbook season gets underway. He’s paid his debt to society and it’s time that he be given a second chance in the NFL sportsbook action.

Sportbook fans and odds makers have no place in judging what kind of a man Vick is. Nor does NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Two years in prison, bankruptcy and a ruined public image is large price to pay and Vick has paid it. It’s time for him to be given chance to make amends for the cruelty he perpetrated and second chance to compete for a living in the sportsbook world. If he were a doctor or a stone mason he wouldn’t be prevented from using his professional skills to make a living, so why should he be barred from participating in the NFL’s online sportsbook competition?

Who knows? He might not even be capable of playing at the level needed to compete in the online sportsbook NFL action anymore. Hard to say, but it’s also hard to think that such a gifted athlete wouldn’t be able to find some way to contribute to an NFL team’s sportsbook success. With so many teams in the NFL sportsbook competition going wild over the wild cat offense these days, there is surely a franchise out there that would take chance on Vick if it meant improving its sportsbook odds.

The Pats seem to be the popular choice in the world of online sportsbook action for Vick to land for several reasons. The Pats run a tight shift and the strong leadership would ostensibly keep Vick from getting in trouble (a flimsy argument, but a popular one in sportsbook circles nonetheless). But the real reason for Vick to join the Pats is the fact that they want to win and they know their chances of sportsbook success increases with Vick on the Roster. He would be the perfect complement to classic pocket passer Tom Brady that opposing defenses would constantly be on their toes.

But chances are there will be a team out there in the NFL sportsbook odds willing to pay Vick a lot more than the Pats and that’s where he’ll end up. Every team is now experimenting with some type of wild cat scheme. It’s only a fad and it will burn out in an NFL sportsbook season or two, but in the mean time it creates a premium for the type of talents that Vick possesses.

It’s Goodell’s call, rightly or wrongly, and Vick will at the very least serve a suspension of some time. But to prevent him participating in NFL sportsbook action long term would not only be unconstitutional, it would rob from sportsbook fans the chance of ever watching the electric athlete play QB in the NFL.
