Sportbooks Betting Chiefs Suspend Larry Johnson

Sportbooks betting does not have the Kansas City Chiefs on the board this week and they have a bye and that might be the best news for the team this week. The Chiefs suspended running back Larry Johnson who made disparaging remarks after last week’s sportbooks betting game in which the Chiefs lost versus the odds at sportsbooks.

Sportbooks betting have Johnson being suspended for next week’s game although he is expected to appeal.  It is expected the suspension will cost Johnson more than a half million dollars. Sportbooks betting had the Chiefs saying that Johnson will be suspended until Monday, November 9th.  They play next on November 8th at Jacksonville where they will be sportbooks betting underdogs. Johnson’s agent Peter Schaffer said Johnson will be appealing. “We will be filing an appeal on behalf of Larry [Thursday],” Schaffer said, “While we respect the Chiefs’ ability to try to discipline a player, we disagree and respectfully disagree that the punishment they propose is warranted by the facts or allowable by the collective bargaining agreement. Hopefully, we will be able to work out a mutual and positive resolution with the Chiefs short of a hearing. If we don’t, then this will go to an arbitrator.”

While Schaffer is sticking up for his player not many other people are not.  It is very questionable whether Johnson will ever play for the Chiefs again or impact the odds at sportsbooks.  Sportbooks betting info shows that after the remarks he made that ripped head coach Todd Haley it seems unlikely that Johnson will play again for the Chiefs.  Johnson only needs 75 more rushing yards to break the Kansas City all-time rushing record as sportsbooks stats show.  It seems very unlikely he will get that chance as sportbooks betting info has indicated.

The Chiefs are coming off a huge sportbooks betting loss in which they were blown out at home 37-7 by San Diego. It was one of the worst losses at home for the Chiefs in recent sportbooks betting memory.  The Chiefs haven’t gotten much out of Johnson as sportsbooks statistics show, and it is not the first time he has been in trouble. He was suspended last year as well as sportbooks betting noted.  His latest suspension could easily be his last since Kansas City seems likely to get rid of him sooner rather than later and that can only help their chances in sportbooks betting as the season progresses.
