With the 2015-16 NBA betting Season ending the 1st half with the All-Star Break Weekend this Friday the 12th of February 2016, and tonight Thursday the 11th of Feb. 2016 we have the last two games of the 1st Half of the NBA Season with 2 Western Conference rivals with the 1st being the New Orleans Pelicans playing at the Oklahoma City Thunder, and 2nd the Washington Wizards playing the Milwaukee Bucks.
NBA Betting Pelicans at Thunder
The 1st game between the 20-32 New Orleans Pelicans playing at the 38-14 Oklahoma City Thunder with the game being played at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana with the kick-off scheduled for 9:05 PM ET and seen on TNT TV.
The fans that Bet on NBA the gambling odds from Vegas have the Oklahoma City Thunder favored in this game at -11 ½ with the Over/under at 218 ½ and -1000 on the Money Line, while the Pelicans of N.O. are the listed underdogs at +11 ½ and +700 on the M.L.
The Pelicans moving into the NBA betting All-Star break would like to finish the 1st half of the season with a win as they are the double-figure underdogs at the sportsbooks in this game tonight. A win in this game would give them 3 straight wins for the 2nd time this season, and against the Thunder that have won 13 of their last 15.
As of late the Thunder have had trouble covering the spread as in their ultimate 9 games they are with 2 wins 6 losses and 1 tie against the spread. However, they have ended a 2 game loss streak this past Monday as they beat the Suns of Phoenix who were favored, at 122-106 at home, and that came after a loss to the Warriors of G.S. 116-108 Saturday of last week.
The Thunder in their ultimate 6 games with the Pelicans has struggled against the spread, and in only 1 did the cover. That was the 102-91 won as an underdog of 4 points in their game with the Pelicans on the 4th of February last year. To date these teams have only played 1 time, and the Thunder won that game 110-103 on the 18th of November 2015.
Remember in the Thunders last meeting they were without stars K. Bryant and A. Davis both with injuries, so R. Westbrook led the team with 8 assists, 9 rebounds and 43 points, and they had an amazing performance from E. Canter who came off the bench and in 31 minutes scored some 24 points.
The Pelicans on the other side on Wednesday had a 100-96 win over the Jazz of Utah as Davis scored 19 points and Holiday had 21. The Jazz came into that game after a 7 game win streak, and were unable to continue their streak against the Pelicans as they had against the Mavericks on Tuesday night. At half the Pelicans led the Jazz 47-45 and then outscored them 29-19 in the 4th Quarter to beat the Jazz.
This is a back-to- back game for the Pelicans tonight and in the same situation in 4 of their ultimate 5 games they have covered the spread.
Wizards at Bucks
The 2nd game tonight will see the Eastern Conference rivals the 23-27 Washington Wizards playing at the 21-32 Milwaukee Bucks with the game being played at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with the tip-off scheduled for 8:10 PM ET.
The odds for this game have the Milwaukee Bucks favored at a slight -1 with the Over/under at 212 ½ and -115 on the Money Line, while the Washington Wizards are at +1 and -105 on the ML.
This Thursday night the Washington Wizards end this 2015-16 NBA 1st half playing at Milwaukee of which they have beat the Bucks 3 times this season of their 3 games, and 1 game was a comeback win over the Bucks 118-113.
The Wizards this season have performed well against the Bucks and both teams are very similar, as to date both have tried to play a more modernistic style of basketball, and as on now its work in progress, as indicated by their present rankings in the Easter Conference.
Presently it appears that the Wizards have progressed ahead of the Bucks in the process, who in their last game turned to their bench to M. Williams and G. Monroe this past Tuesday, and the change worked as the upset the Celtics of Boston 112-111.
In this game tonight the Bucks need their star in the last 2 games J. Bayless to continue his 3-point success as in those games he made 9-3 pointers, and the Wizards better hope he doesn’t continue his hot streak. The Wizards are actually playing better this season on the road as they are 12-11 on the road compared to 11-16 at home!
