The Major League Baseball sports betting season is set to move into the month of August with a number of teams still in contention to make the playoffs. The Mets are 17-1 while the Phillies are 10-1.
The Chicago White Sox are the biggest shock at 20-1 considering they lead their division. The Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers are also very much in that race. The Twins are 22-1 to win the World Series while the Tigers are 20-1. The American League West is controlled by the Texas Rangers but the Angels are not totally out of the race. The Angels are a big long shot though to win the World Series at odds of 50-1.
With the dog days of August approaching, teams will be making changes to their rosters in anticipation of making a playoff run. The trading deadline could affect some of these odds so keep that in mind when you bet baseball futures.
