NBA Online Wagering Preview: Heat Look to Close out Bulls in Game 5

May 31, 2011 Online Wagering

The Dallas Mavericks will be watching the Eastern Conference Game 5 NBA online wagering matchup between the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls with great interest.

After having already booked their ticket to the NBA Finals after knocking off the Oklahoma City Thunder in 5 games in the Western Conference Finals the Mavs are eager to know who their opponent will be.

But barring any radical developments in this series the Mavs will all but certainly be facing the Miami Heat, which holds an insurmountable 3-1 lead heading into Game 5 in a rematch of the 2006 NBA Finals, a series that the Heat after falling into 0-2 hole and then winning 4 straight games.

For game 5 the online wagering series heads back to Chicago and the Mavs half to be pleased at that development.  The longer the series goes the better for the Mavs.  An ancient team by NBA standards the Mavs can use the rest and nothing could be better from their perspective than to see the Bulls wear down the Heat as much as possible as this physical series plays out.

Chicago has the home court advantage and Bulls fans have been great all year but the Heat seem to have this team’s number and have been superb in finishing off opponents in the fourth quarter this postseason.  MVP Derrick Rose seems to be the only legitimate scoring option for this team late in the game and has been repeatedly shut down in this wagering online matchup by the Miami defense.  LeBron did a superb job keeping him in check late in Game 4 and he can expect the same kind of treatment in Game 5.  But even with teammates Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer scoring 20+ the team still couldn’t score enough to beat Miami.  And that development doesn’t bode well for Chicago’s online wagering future this season.

The Bulls defense, as always, has been superb, but its flawed offense too often is unable to score baskets late in the game.  And too often Chicago has been unable to prevent superstars James, D-Wade and Chris Bosh from getting to basket.

Expect another physical grinding matchup tonight in Game 5 in which the score remains close but the Heat manage to pull away and seal the wagering online in the closing minutes.
