College Football Online Wagering Preseason Favorites. July through August can be the longest month on the online wagering calendar in many ways. There is hardly anything going in the wagering online action aside from MLB odds action but even that is hardly entertaining as the pennant races are far from being interesting during that part of the summer. But the one good thing about that 6-8 week barren desert of online wagering action is that as soon as we get to the middle of August a flood gate of college football betting is opened up and it’s a non-stop bonanza of football wagering for the next five months.
With the 2010 college football wagering online action just a few weeks away the preseason pollsters are already working over time trying to determine which teams begin the season at what slot in the polls and which teams have the best shot at taking the college football title.
Almost every college football poll in the land has Alabama starting the season as the #1 team in the land. Hard to argue considering ‘Bama did win the title last year and returns a ton of their starters including their QB and their Heisman trophy winning RB.
But the more important quandary is which teams have the best chance of replacing ‘Bama as the wagering online college football champion?
SEC rival and college powerhouse certainly has a shot. Many critics consider this team dead in the water after legend Tim Tebow moved on to the NFL action, but new QB John Brantley has scouts raving and will turn the Gators into the down field passing team that they never were with Tebow and utilize some of that world class speed to stretch the field against opposing defenses.
Another team to keep your eye on is the University of Miami football team which has led by freshman and sophomores the past two online wagering college football seasons but those players are now upper classmen and loaded with talent. If UM makes it through a rough first month against ranked teams it will be perfectly poised for a BCS Bowl.
And a dark horse of the college odds is: Boise State. This team is always a darling of the football polls but no one ever gives them a real shot at winning a college title, but this could be the year.
