Internet Betting Gamblers: Argentina Wins Group B. Argentina continued to roll vs. the World Cup Internet betting odds as they defeated Greece 2-0 on Tuesday to win Group B. Argentina was unbeaten in the group stage and they look like a team that could win it all. Argentina is favored in online betting on Sunday as they face Mexico in the knockout round.
Internet betting odds favored Argentina against Greece and the team came through but it was not easy. Martin Demichelis scored in the 77th minute for Argentina while Martin Palermo scored in the 89th minute. Greece decided before this match began to play a defensive style and it worked for a while. Since Argentina won the match against Greece it gave Nigeria a chance to advance from Group B but they couldn’t get the win against South Korea. The teams played to a 2-2 draw vs. the online betting odds and that meant that South Korea advanced to the knockout round. They will now play Group A winner Uruguay on Saturday.
Argentina finished atop Group B and that means they will face the second place team from Group A which is Mexico. Argentina and Mexico played four years ago in the World Cup and Argentina came away with a 2-1 win. Argentina and Mexico both have some scoring potential so this match on Sunday should be exciting. So far in the World Cup no team has been able to find a way to slow down Argentina. Mexico has the offense that can score but their defense is weak.
