MLB Gambling – Yankees vs. White Sox on MLB Network

April 5th, 2024 Betting on MLB Baseball

The MLB Network has a good matchup on Friday night as the Chicago White Sox host the New York Yankees in MLB gambling. It could be a high scoring game on Friday night in baseball gambling considering A.J. Burnett is matched up against Freddy Garcia.

MLB gambling odds on this game are going to be close.  The Yankees will probably be a small favorite but if there is one time when you might want to go against New York it is when Burnett is on the mound.  He is maddeningly inconsistent.

New York Starting Pitcher:  Burnett is 9-11 with a 4.80 ERA this season.  If you are wondering how a pitcher can have a losing record while pitching for the Yankees you are not alone.  Burnett can be very good or he can be very bad.  He allowed six runs last time out in seven innings against the rotten Mariners.

He is 0-2 in his last three starts with a 4.09 ERA.  Burnett is 2-3 wit ha 4.14 ERA in his career against the Yankees.

Chicago Starting Pitcher:  Freddy Garcia somehow has 10 wins this season with a 5.08 ERA.  That is almost as hard to believe as Burnett’s numbers.  How does a pitcher with an ERA over five have ten wins and only five losses? In his last three starts he is 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA. In his career against the Yankees he is 4-4 with a 4.36 ERA.

Over the Total:  Is there any other way to go in this game in baseball gambling at the Sbg sportsbook?  Burnett is normally terrible and Garcia has an ERA over five this season.  The Yankees should be able to score and the White Sox should get to Burnett.

The teams met in New York back in early May and all four games in that series went over the total.  The teams combined to score 49 runs in the four games.  A similar outcome looks to be in the cards on Friday night.

MLB Network:  When you play a total it is always nicer when you can watch the game on TV and that is the case with the Yankees and White Sox on Friday as the MLB Network is scheduled to televise the game.
