MLB Betting on Chicago White Sox at San Francisco

November 30th, 2010 Betting on MLB Baseball

MLB on Tuesday has the San Francisco Giants hosting the Chicago White Sox in Cactus League action.

The home team usually gets the attention in baseball betting exhibition action and that could be the case in this matchup on Tuesday.

MLB betting on the Giants is likely to be popular this season as they look improved from a year ago. The same could be said about the White Sox who have looked good early in the spring.  One of the players for Chicago that has made an immediate MLB betting impression is Carlos Quentin.  He hit two home runs on Saturday in the White Sox rout of the Cubs.  Last season was a tough one for Quentin who played only 99 games because of injury.  This season he looks ready to impact MLB betting results on a regular basis. "He’s relaxed a little more and enjoying the game," said White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen. "When you’re healthy, that will happen."

When Quentin is hitting the ball out of the park the White Sox are a real threat to win. "Right now, my body’s feeling good," Quentin said. "You get that first wall — walls come throughout Spring Training. I just stay with my program, stretching, making sure my joints remain mobile and I want to focus on that."   Last year it was much different for Quentin. "I remember this time last year at Spring Training, my feel was really not that good," Quentin said. "During the offseason, I feel like I had a good plan and a good base. Me and [hitting coach Greg] Walker talking every day, just on how I’m feeling, and I like the feeling that I have right now, that plan and being in an aggressive position."

Jonathan Sanchez pitched two scoreless innings in his first spring game on Saturday for the San Francisco Giants. "I didn’t have my slider today," said Sanchez, "I just have to keep working on it until I get the feeling of throwing it for a strike."  Sanchez will likely start the Giants regular season baseball betting home opener on April 9th.

The Giants are still working pitchers into their normal routines and Sunday’s rain definitely changed things.  The White Sox had the same rain in the Cactus League so their pitching rotations have been adjusted as well for this MLB betting game.
