Breeders betting is likely to be popular on Prince Khalid Abdulla horses in next month’s Breeders’ Cup.
One of the Breeders wagering contenders that the Prince will have for the Breeders Cup Classic is Twice Over who won the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
Breeders betting is going to see a lot of Prince Abdulla’s horses including Champs Elysees who won the Canadian International on Saturday night. History hasn’t been kind to the Prince in Breeders betting as he has just three wins with his 50 horses that have run previously. This year in Breeders wagering he could easily have between 7 and 10 horses in the race. He has Twice Over in the Classic, Champs Elysees in the Turf and Zacinto in the Mile in Breeders betting. Spanish Moon is also likely for the Turf in Breeders wagering. The Dirt Mile should see Famous Name on the Breeders betting board while Proviso is set to be in the Ladies Classic and Ventura in the Filly & Mare Sprint. The other two horses for Abdulla in Breeders betting are Father Time in the Marathon and Midday in the Filly & Mare Turf.
One of the key trainers for Abdulla in Breeders betting is Henry Cecil. Recently it has been Cecil who has done well with horses like Passage of Time. It took a long time for Cecil to train a champion horse but now he has had at least one in each of the past three years. “I’m a really late-maturing type,” Cecil, said. “I hope we will go from strength to strength because we have more than 100 horses for next season.” The latest horse that could make an impact in Breeders betting for Cecil is Twice over with jockey Tom Queally. “It’s just a great privilege to ride for him,” Queally said of Cecil. “He’s a bit like me, very laid-back, which is why we get on so well.”
Breeders betting at the sportsbook takes place over two days in November from Santa Anita Park in California. The opening day of Breeders wagering at the sports book has five races on Friday, November 6th and nine races on Saturday, November 7th. The five races in Breeders betting on Friday at the sportsbook are the Ladies’ Classic, the Filly & Mare Turf, the Filly & Mare Sprint, the Fillies Turf and the Juvenile Fillies.
