F1 Odds – Belgian Grand Prix

F1 odds on the Belgian Grand Prix will be on the board in late August as Jenson Button looks to continue his domination.

The Belgian Grand Prix dates back to 1925 and is a popular stop on the F1 circuit.  F1 betting odds should be exciting for this race on August 30th.

F1 odds can be a little bit unpredictable on the Belgian Grand Prix because of the weather. Oftentimes it is raining for this race and drivers have said the Spa course is the toughest track on the F1 circuit. Last year it was a total downpour as Lewis Hamilton was able to hold off Felipe Massa and Nick Heidfeld and win in F1 betting odds. Online betting information tells us that in last year’s race it was Kimi Raikkonen who led most of the race until losing the lead late to Hamilton.

Raikkonen crashed and that gave the race to Hamilton in F1 odds. "The heavens opened and I saw Kimi begin to back off earlier than he had done," Hamilton said. "It was incredibly tough. It was an experience and a half. After the second pit stop he was so far ahead, so I pushed and pushed to close up. I was just praying for rain. I wanted it to come because I knew it would help.”

This year it is unlikely that Hamilton will have a chance to win in F1 betting odds.  F1 odds this year at the sportsbook have been dominated by Jenson Button and the Mercedes-Brawn team. That should be the case again with the Belgian Grand Prix as Button is the odds-on favorite in F1 odds.  This is also a home race for Button so you can be sure he will be motivated to win in F1 betting odds.

Button’s teammate Rubens Barrichello has been the only threat to him this season in F1 odds although the Red Bull team does have a couple of drivers who have made some noise.  Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber are at least contenders each week in F1 odds. Perhaps Vettel can put some pressure on Button in F1 odds and get some luck from the weather.  If not, it looks like another win for Button in F1 odds.

Gamblers might take a shot against Button this week in F1 odds because of the weather.  Vettel is an interesting choice and has an outside chance as does Barichello and Webber in F1 odds. Everyone else is just not a serious contender in terms of F1 odds at the sportsbook.
