Dickies 500 – NASCAR Betting

NASCAR betting on the Dickies 500 will take place on Sunday, November 8th as bettors will try and decide if Jimmie Johnson is going to win yet another race. Those that bet on NASCAR have seen Johnson virtually run away with the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

NASCAR wagering has seen the Dickies 500 on the schedule since 2005. It is held at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. Carl Edwards was the NASCAR gambling winner of this race last year and it was the second time he has won this race. He was the inaugural winner of this NASCAR wagering race in 2005. Tony Stewart won the following year in NASCAR betting while Johnson was the NASCAR gaming winner in 2007.

Chevrolet and Ford have split the four NASCAR gaming wins in this race with each manufacturer winning twice. Last year it was Ford with Edwards winning in NASCAR gaming. Ford did quite well in the race a year ago as they finished 1st, 3rd, 5th and 9th. Chevy was second as Jeff Gordon finished 2nd in NASCAR wagering. Clint Bowyer’s Chevy was fourth while Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. were 7th and 8th with their Chevy’s. Kyle Busch finished 6th for Toyota last year in NASCAR gaming in this race while David Reutimann was 10th.

Those that bet on NASCAR have simply had a hard time going against Johnson in recent weeks. He has so dominated in NASCAR betting that the races are not as heavily watched on television. They are also not as heavily followed in NASCAR betting. Usually picking a winner in a NASCAR race is not that easy. There are normally as many as 10 or more drivers who can realistically win each week in NASCAR. Since Johnson has dominated so much recently that is really not the case. Now there are only a select few that those that bet on NASCAR look at each week. That list starts with Johnson and includes Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin. Others like Juan Pablo Montoya and Kurt Busch can get some attention but usually Johnson dominates for those who bet on NASCAR.

You have the options in the Dickies 500 of betting on a driver to win the overall race or you can choose to bet matchups. The matchups might be the more attractive option this week considering Johnson’s recent dominance.
