UFC 130 Odds Spotlight with Rampage against Hamill in Light Heavyweight Rumble

October 23rd, 2020 UFC Betting

UFC 130 Odds Spotlight with Rampage against Hamill . The headline bout in the upcoming UFC 130 odds action isn’t exactly the match of the year but when Rampage Jackson and Matt Hamill enter the Octagon fans should get to see an awfully entertaining fight.

There are no world champions or #1 ranked contender in this matchup but neither of these fighters pulls any punches and this should be a lead contender for the Fight of the Night.

Jackson, the former Light Heavyweight world champion has had a checkered recent history in the Octagon leading up to the UFC 120 odds event.  He’s only fought 6 times since 2007 and with mixed results.  His record over the past five fights is just 3-2 although he’s seen a very tough list of competitors including Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evens, Keith Jardine, Wanderlei Silva and Forrest Griffin –not exactly tomato cans.

He enters the UFC 130 showdown as the #4 rated Light Heavyweight challenger according to Sherdog.com and will have plenty to prove to the many MMA fans and experts that have already written off his career.

Jackson is the much better known of the fighters and will have the most to lose in the May 28th bout in Las Vegas.

Hamill isn’t well known outside of UFC circles and this will be the most meaningful fight in his career to date.  He’s faced big names before but never in bouts of any consequence.  Heading into the UFC 130 matchup Hamill has notched a career record of 10-2 and has defeated big names such as Keith Jardine, newly crowned champ Jon Jones and most recently MMA legend Tito Ortiz –all of which he beat.

But he’s never faced a top ranked challenger in his prime with a potential title bout on the line as he will when the UFC 130 odds action gets underway.  Hamill is primarily a grappler although he has great knockdown power and has 6 KOs in 10 victories.

Jackson is also from a wrestling background and packs a powerful punch.  With the very similar fighting styles it will be interesting to see which strategies the fighters implement, but one thing is certain: if you’re looking to wager on the UFC 130 odds it will be hard to find a more entertaining matchup than these two brawlers.
