It took another two and a half decades before Secretariat became the next Triple Crown betting winner in 1973 and then two more horses did it that decade and then none since. Seattle Slew was the Triple Crown wagering winner in 1977 and Affirmed the Triple Crown wagering winner the following year. It is now 30 years since the last Triple Crown betting winner, the longest gap in Triple Crown betting history. It is not an easy task to become a Triple Crown betting winner since all three races are different and are run within weeks of each other.
