Chargers Still Like Head Coach Norv Turner Sportsbook Online

Sportsbook online had the San Diego Chargers losing yet again in the playoffs this past week. That didn’t seem to matter to the San Diego brass though as head coach Norv Turner was given a three-year contract extension through 2013.  The Chargers were a major disappointment to those who bet at the offshore sportsbook as they lost 17-14 to the New York Jets.

Sportsbook online has seen the Chargers do well in the regular season only to fall apart in the playoffs.  And Norv Turner has really never won anything so it is a surprise to see him get an extension.  San Diego Chargers team president Dean Spanos didn’t seem too concerned. “I think he’s done an outstanding job and I look forward to the next four years,” Spanos said.

Turner has really done very little as an NFL head coach as sportsbook online numbers have it.  Offshore sportsbook info indicates that he has never led a team to a Super Bowl and he had a very poor record as a head coach before taking over at San Diego.  His record at Washington and Oakland was really poor but he has done better with the Chargers. San Diego has won three straight AFC West titles although last year that was no big accomplishment.  Sportsbook online had the problem for Turner being in the playoffs where his teams are just 3-3.  They made the AFC title game three years ago but in the last two years they have lost before making it that far.

Turner’s overall record is still a losing one but with San Diego he is 32-16. That sounds good except that many people believe the Chargers have a team that could win the Super Bowl.  That was definitely the case this sportsbook online season since San Diego was the #2 seed behind Indianapolis.  Losing to the Jets was a major upset at the offshore sportsbook. That loss had many fans calling for Turner to be fired but the opposite actually occurred.  San Diego fans now have to get used to Turner and his coaching for quite a while.  In sportsbook online it is all about what you have done lately.  Turner and the Chargers won 11 straight in the regular season but the offshore sportsbook loss to the Jets is all that people will remember. Sportsbook online stats have Turner with a 90-98-1 record as a head coach.
