Playing Big Slick. Learn how to play one of the best poker hands , Pocket Ace Kind online with SBG Global. Big slick is the nickname for the best poker hand, pocket aces. You are supposed to get two aces as your hole cards once every 220 hands. Those are the odds for getting the best poker hand in Texas Holdem poker. How do you go about playing big slick to maximize your payoff when getting it? Let’s start with No-Limit Holdem poker card games and see what could happen.

Let’s say you go all-in with big slick. Here is what could happen as you learn how to play big slick. Everyone could fold, meaning all you do is pick up the blinds with your Aces as the best starting hand in Holdem. You could get called by a Texas Holdem hand and that is good news but you are not an automatic winner. Your aces could get cracked and you go broke. You could also win a large pot with that best poker hand.

The problem with the all-in is that you get no action or just one caller in poker card games. What other choices do we have besides going all-in when playing big slick? If we raise the pot our opponents are not necessarily going to put us on Aces and we still can drive out all the drawing Texas Holdem poker hands that could beat us in poker card games. With a reasonable raise we put ourselves against a Texas Holdem hand like Jacks, 10-10, etc. We are a huge favorite over those Texas Holdem poker hands. If we happen to catch a hand like AK, AQ, AJ, or A10, we are an even bigger favorite over those Texas Holdem starting hands. More likely we are probably going to be up against small pairs or maybe suited connectors. Those are Texas Holdem starting hands we raise on the flop to drive them out in poker card games.

Another option for playing big slick is to just call. This is called slow-playing and the risks may be more than the rewards. You are inviting players to stay in the hand when you don’t raise. This can be a problem when someone hits a draw. When you have pocket ace king you want callers, but you don’t want all players calling. Against one or two opponents your pocket ace king are favorites but against many players that favorite percentage drops.

Aces are not as powerful as the best starting poker hands in Limit Holdem as they are in No-Limit Holdem because you can’t drive people out of the pot. No matter how much you raise people are still going to chase their draws. This is good news if they miss, but bad news when they hit the draw in big slick poker. You want money in the pot, but in Limit Holdem those increased pot odds are juicy and people will call. That means you pocket ace king will lose more often in Limit Holdem than in No-Limit even though it was the best starting hand in Holdem.

The best starting poker hand is aces but that doesn’t mean your pocket ace king will always win. Keep that in mind as you consider playing the best hand in poker and you won’t be disappointed when it occasionally loses.
