Vegas Bucking Tough Odds of the Past for Repeat

The New York Liberty is the only team with the roster quality to challenge the Aces. Additionally, the Liberty fortified their roster by making several high-impact free-agent signings. Also on the marquee is 2022 assists leader Courtney Vandesloot. Correlate that the trio will operate as a powerful and dynamic offense. Yet gamblers are not fully convinced that Liberty will be able to supersede the Aces.
Los Angeles Sparks Action on the Future Market
Consider the Aces’ most significant competition in the West could come from the Los Angeles Sparks. LA is looking to bounce back from last season’s unimpressive campaign by re-signing Nneka and Chiney Ogumike. Also, the Sparks fortified the roster by bringing Azura Stevens from Chicago as secondary support for the starting five. At the very least, Los Angeles should battle for the top spot in the Western Conference.
Griner Returns to Mercury
Like it or not, Brittney Griner’s back for WNBA lines action. Following her long detention in Russia that lasted nearly a year, the Mercury’s star player returns. And she has vowed to be a part of the action this year. Although she hasn’t played basketball for ten months, updates from the team suggest that Griner will get back up to speed in record time. In turn, Griner is joined by superstar Diana Taurasi. Taurasi is back for another season and could play a pivotal role in making the West a little more competitive.
Washington Has Gamblers Feeling Mystic
The Washington Mystics won it all in 2019. And they will be looking to emulate that feat in this year’s campaign. Namely, Elena Delle and Natasha Cloud have already impressed within the ranks. Including Brittney Sykes and Kristi Toliver, Washington might add another dimension to their attack. Furthermore, the Mystics could have the best defense in the league again.
Is The Sky the Limit in Chicago?
On the whole, the Eastern Conference is wide open this year. Yet, surprisingly, the Chicago Sky might not be one of the frontrunners. Although James Wade’s team was last year’s conference champions, they have bled talent all off-season.
