January 12th, 2021 UFC Betting

UFC betting line odds are available on the big UFC events that occur every few months.

How do you go about making money as you look at the UFC line odds? What things do you need to know about ultimate fighting betting? UFC line odds will show a money line where one fighter is favored against the other. It is a money line similar to what you see in baseball or hockey.

As you look at ultimate fighting betting you should be aware that the winning fighters can win in a variety of ways. As you look at the UFC betting line remember that fighters can win by submission when the other fighter is incapable of responding or verbally gives up. Submission is actually considered honorable in UFC fighting.

Another way to win that you will see as you consider the UFC line is by technical knockout (TKO). In this case the referee stops the fight when he believes the fighter can’t defend himself. There is no standing count in UFC bouts so a TKO can occur at anytime. The other way a fight can end is by decision. This is similar to boxing where a fighter can win a unanimous, split or majority decision. Decisions in UFC are rare and draws are even rarer. Since there are a lot of ways to win in the UFC it makes for exciting ultimate fighting  action.

As you look at the UFC  line there are some factors to consider. Unlike boxing, underdogs can win against the UFC betting line. It is not uncommon to see underdogs come through in a big way versus the UFC betting line. In other sports like boxing or even baseball, big underdogs don’t win very often. That is not always the case in ultimate fighting betting.

As you handicap against the UFC betting line you want to take a look at each fighter’s record and more importantly, fighting style. Sometimes as you look at the UFC betting line you will have one style that does well against another and it will not be factored into the UFC betting line. These are some things to consider as you look to bet UFC action this year.
