Who’s Got the Edge In Lawler-Condit In UFC 195?

November 25th, 2019 UFC Betting

Robbie Lawler currently holds the UFC Welterweight championship title and is hoping to show the world that he’s one of the most dominant names in the sport right now. He will be putting his title on the line on January 2, 2016 at UFC 195 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He will be taking on the fourth-ranked fighter in the Welterweight division, Carlos Condit.

This is expected to be one of the most challenging fights in the UFC world as the odds for the bout are rather close. Lawler only has a -150 advantage for the fight while Condit is very close at +120.

The two fighters are both rather experienced and have been through plenty of bouts over the years. This match may end up being the biggest in Condit’s career and could be a huge sign of his comeback although Lawler is aiming to prove to the world that he’s the best fighter in his division.

What Lawler Has in UFC betting

This bout will be Robbie Lawler’s second title defense. Ruthless Robbie has a 26-10 record with one No Contest. He has won his last four fights with his most recent being in July when he beat Rory MacDonald in the fifth round.

Lawler is known for being a strong knockout artist as twenty of his victories have come by knockout. However, his experience in the MMA world is something that makes him stand out as he has been competing in the field for more than a decade now. He has persevered through many challenges in his career and his late 2014 victory over Johny Hendricks to take the Welterweight title is considered to be his biggest point in his career. If Lawler wins then there could be a third rubber match between the two.

What About Condit?

Carlos Condit has become a challenger in recent time who has stood out among many others in the UFC world. The Natural Born Killer is just as experienced as Lawler as he has a 30-8 record. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing specialist got the chance to fight Lawler after beating Thiago Alves back in May.

Condit’s career took a big turn in March 2014 when he suffered a knee injury in his loss to Tyron Woodley. It would take him a little more than a year to get back into the octagon as he eventually came back to defeat Alves. However, Condit’s victory has been debated among some as it was due to a doctor’s stoppage after just two rounds.

Any Other Fights?

The Lawler-Condit fight isn’t the only one to watch for at UFC 195. Stipe Miocic has a -250 line against Andrei Arlovski at +195 in a heavyweight fight. Albert Tumenov, Diego Brandao, Michael McDonand and Justine Kish are among the many other fighters who will be competing in Las Vegas that night.

However, the Lawler-Condit fight is clearly the biggest one to watch for. The competition between the two will make for a great event that people are bound to certainly look out for as the 2016 UFC year gets underway.
