UFC Odds Preview of Neer vs. Pellegrino Bout. UFC odds fans reading over the headliner events for the upcoming UFC 101 Declaration event will see many familiar names. Names like Penn and Silva will certainly jump out at anyone looking for UFC betting odds. However names like Neer and Pellegrino are likely to be overlooked by many of the UFC 101 odds fans.

UFC for matches like the Josh Neer vs. Kurt Pellegrino fight are not the first UFC betting that fans generally look for but often times it’s these little regarded match ups that actually produce the most UFC drama of the night. And such is the hope of the organizers for the upcoming UFC 101 event.

With a loaded top half of the card the few UFC fans will likely be taking note of the Neer-Pellegrino fight. Neer is a young fighter out Iowa that mixes wrestling with Muay Thai. It’s a good combo on paper but how does it translate into the UFC? So far so good. At the tender age of 26 he’s already got a wealth of MMA experience. His career record of 25-6 is a good indication of what kind of fighter he is. However, his experience in top flight UFC betting odds fights is somewhat limited

He has just three fights at UFC events and a 2-1 record. His defeat came against veteran Nate Diaz in 2008. However, he bounced back with a big choke out win against Mac Danzig. His last fight came in February of 2009 and he should be in terrific shape for the upcoming match.

Pellegrino, also known to some UFC fans as ‘Batman’, is an intriguing fighter who has also has some success in MMA. He enters the match on August 8th with a career record of 13-4. He’s got a very similar fighting back ground that combines elements of Muay Thai and traditional wrestling. Pellegrino has much more experience at the UFC odds level and must be favored in the experience category. Interestingly, Pellegrino also lost to Nate Diaz in a UFC odds event in 2008. However, since then he’s rattled off two straight wins including an impressive UFC victory over Thiago Talveres.

This is probably the toughest UFC odds event for the online betting lines to predict. The two fighters match up very well, but it seems as though youth will be served and Neer will notch another win in his young UFC betting odds career.
