UFC 117 Odds Competition: Preliminary Card Loaded With Talent

February 11th, 2021 UFC Betting

On August 7, 2010 the MMA betting world will focused on Northern California as the UFC 117 odds competition gets underway.

The Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA should be packed as much of the sport wagering community turns in to see the greatest fighter in the UFC betting action right now.  Anderson Silva, pound for found the best fighter in the world and the UFC betting middleweight champion, will be back in the Octagon for the first time since his bizarre fight in April.

The Silva-Sonnen fight is the UFC 117 odds matchup that everyone wants to see.  But there are plenty of other quality fights in the UFC 117 betting competition, especially on the Preliminary Card.

The top fight in the prelim fights is the light heavyweight matchup between Brazilian Thiago Silva and American Tim Boetsch.  It wasn’t that long ago that Silva was headlining UFC betting main events but after two losses in his last three UFC betting events he’s got to work his way back into title contention.  With a career record of 14-2 he’s still among the top light heavyweights in UFC betting and he should get a good chance to showcase his skills in this UFC 117 odds matchup.

Another interesting UFC 117 betting matchup features heavyweights Stefan Struve and Christian Morecraft.  Struve is a Dutch fighter with a career record of 19-4 but he’s generally come up short against quality competition and lost in last UFC betting event to Roy Nelson.  Morecraft should make for interesting competition and this match has the potential to be one of the most entertaining in the UFC 117 betting competition.

In the other light heavyweight matchup on the prelim card Rodney Wallace will take on Stanislav Nedkov.  Wallace has a career record of 9-2 but after losing his first two UFC betting matches he has the look of fighter that may not have what it takes to make in the top MMA betting league in the world.  This will be the first UFC betting match for Nedkov and there are a lot of unknowns in this fight.  But Nedkov might just be the next great light heavyweight in the making so doesn’t miss out on this fight.
