But there is also a very intriguing light heavyweight matchup in the UFC 116 betting as well.  In the prelim action light heavyweights Seth Petruzelli and Ricardo Romero will battle each other live on Spike TV before the UFC 116 odds Main Event gets underway.

The beauty of the Petruzelli vs. Romero fight is that you don’t need to subscribe to pay-per0view to watch the MMA betting action.  If you have a basic cable package that includes Spike TV you can watch this UFC 116 betting warm-up from the comfort of your own living room.

Petruzelli, is fighter that many MMA betting fans are already familiar with.  He’s the man that shut down the Elite XC fighting series.  His stunning upset defeat of Kimbo Slice effectively forced the fledgling MMA betting series to file for bankruptcy and close its doors.  But aside from those 15 minutes of fame Petruzelli has developed into quite a good fighter in the light heavy division.   His career record in the MMA betting action is 12-4, 10 of the wins by knockout.

This will be Petruzelli’s first fight in the UFC betting odds and it will be a good chance for UFC 116 betting fans to see if he has the skills to fight at this level.  He’s coming off 4 straight wins in other fighting series and will be looking to continue the win streak.

Romero has a similar background fighting on lower circuits and the UFC odds will be a chance for him to test his at the UFC betting level.  With a career record of 10-1 he’s also had plenty of success at the lower levels.  He’s also a better-rounded fighter than Petruzelli with 5 wins by submission.  That diversity in fighting should give him the edge in this UFC 116 betting match.
