UFC 116 Betting Main Card Loaded With Quality Fights

February 15th, 2021 UFC Betting

2010 has been a great year for UFC wagering events and the UFC 116 betting is the just the next in a long line of great UFC Main Events.

The headline match for the UFC 116 odds competition is a show-stopper with superstar Brock Lesnar defending his heavyweight UFC betting title against a mountain of a man (and UFC heavyweight interim title holder) Shane Carwin.  That’s the UFC betting event that everyone wants to see and that’s the UFC odds event that most people will be betting on.  But simply to focus on the Main Event and overlook the other UFC 116 Main Card betting matchups would be a crime.

There are a handful of must-see UFC betting bouts on this card and some terrific UFC 116 odds opportunities.

The middleweight fight on the UFC 116 betting card is almost good enough to suffice as the Main Event.  UFC star Wanderlei Silva (no relation of the greatest MMA fighter on the planet, Anderson Silva) will take on Japanese superstar and rising UFC betting star Yoshihiro Akiyama.   Silva is battle scarred veteran that has always fallen just short of the UFC title and with a career record of 33-10-2 he may not have many fights left in him. Akiyama, with a record of 13-1-2 might just be the next big thing in the middleweight division and a win against Silva would catapult him the contender list in UFC betting action.

In the welterweight division two scrappy American fighters will light up the Octagon.  Chris Lytle and Matt Brown will go nose to nose in what promises to be one of the best fights of the UFC 116 betting action.  Neither fighter is especially talented nor will either be contending for the UFC betting belt anytime soon but they’re both very entertaining fighters and this just might be the best match of the UFC 116 odds competition when it’s all said and done.

The other two matches on the UFC 166 betting Main Card features lightweights Krzstof Soszynski vs. Stephan Bonnar, and George Sotiropoulus vs. Kurt Pellegrino.  Don’t expect any big time knockouts out either of these bouts.  But expect some very precise striking and mat work in what should be two very fine UFC 116 betting matchups.
