UFC 109 Odds Preview

February 18th, 2021 UFC Betting

UFC 109 odds are on the board for Saturday’s 11 bouts, led by Randy Couture taking on Mark Coleman. There are five fights in UFC betting on the main pay-per-view card and six on the preliminary card. Let’s take a look at each of them in UFC 109 odds.

UFC 109 odds have Coleman as a -450 favorite against Couture. These two Hall of Fame fighters should have met many years ago when they were in their prime.  Now both are on the way out but at least Couture has had some recent UFC action that was positive. This is a huge bout for Coleman since it could be his last in the UFC if he suffers a loss. The problem for Coleman is that his strengths play right into the game of Couture who looks to pound his opponents.  Coleman simply doesn’t have the skill or the power to match Couture and will need to get lucky to win.

Another bout on the main card has Nate Marquardt a -400 UFC betting favorite against Chael Sonnen. Not many people give Sonnen much of a chance in this bout either.  Marquardt has the far better striking ability and could end this fight quickly if Sonnen gets careless.  The only chance for a Sonnen upset in UFC 109 odds is if he catches Marquardt in a hold.  The winner of this fight could get a title shot against the winner of April’s bout between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort.

Another main card bout in UFC 109 odds has Demian Maia a -360 favorite against Dan Miller.  This is kind of the loser’s bracket as Maia was destroyed last time out by Marquardt while Miller lost to Sonnen.  Unless Maia makes a mistake and gets caught he should knockout Miller or catch him for a submission.

The other two bouts on the main card have Mike Swick as a -225 favorite against Paulo Thiago in UFC 109 odds and Matt Serra a -140 favorite against Frank Trigg.  The bout between Serra and Trigg might be the best one of the night in UFC betting.

The preliminary UFC betting card includes Rolles Gracie vs. Joey Beltran.  It was supposed to be Mustapha Al-Turk here but Beltran is a late replacement. Gracie should win easily.  Brian Stann faces Phil Davis in what should be a very good fight on the preliminary card. Rob Emerson fights Phillipe Nover, Melvin Guillard takes on Ronnys Torres, Mac Danzig goes up against Justin Buchholz and Tim Hague battles Chris Tuchscherer in UFC 109 odds.
