Dos Santos has become a popular fighter in the UFC and should get some UFC betting support. Also on the main UFC betting card it will be Paul Daley vs. Dustin Hazelett in what should be a very close fight considering the UFC 108 odds are a pick. The other two UFC betting fights on the main card have Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout and Sean Sherk vs. Jim Miller. Lauzon and Sherk are both better than 2-1 UFC 108 odds favorites in their respective fights.

The preliminary card has six UFC betting bouts. Cole Miller will be fighting Dan Lauzon with Miller a -155 favorite in UFC odds. UFC newcomer John Gunderson goes up against Rafaello Oliveira in UFC 108 betting while Vladimir Matyushenko faces Steve Cantwell. Also on the preliminary UFC betting card are Martin Kampmann vs. Jacob Volkmann, Mark Munoz vs. Ryan Jensen and Mike Pyle vs. Jake Ellenberger.

Since Spike TV is airing two of the preliminary UFC  betting bouts live, there will be a total of seven bouts available on television since there are five fights on the pay-per-view card. Spike TV started televising a couple of the preliminary bouts back in UFC 103 and that continued with UFC 104, UFC 105 and UFC 106. They probably would have done it with UFC 107 if not for a schedule conflict.

UFC  betting will be a great way to start the New Year. The bout between Evans and Silva should be very intense and attract some UFC interest while a number of the other fights should be exciting to watch as well. Injuries took away some of the headliners from UFC but the fights should still be exciting and interesting to bet.
