Title Contenders in UFC 86 Odds at SBG Global

March 2nd, 2021 UFC Betting

UFC 86 odds will include an interesting bout between former UFC heavyweight contender Gabriel Gonzaga and Justin McCully.  Gonzaga will be popular in UFC 86 betting, especially after his win over Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic. McCully has won four-straight fights and will also get attention in UFC odds.

UFC odds originally had McCully facing Frank Mir but Mir will be a coach on Ultimate Fighter 8 and later in the year will fight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. McCully is a member of Tito Ortiz’s Team Punishment and has won his last four bouts but has not fought for over a year due to injuries and that has some gamblers concerned that look at UFC 86 odds. Gonzaga doesn’t inspire much confidence in UFC odds either as he is in a two-fight losing streak, having lost to Randy Couture at UFC 74 and Fabricio Werdum at UFC 80.

As you look at UFC odds you will see money lines where one fighter is favored over another. You will also see additional UFC odds that include over/under lines on the rounds. You may also see UFC odds on how a fighter will win.  Underdogs were the way to go in UFC 85 betting but that was not the case in UFC 84. What will happen in UFC 86 betting?  Most of the time in sports betting the public takes favorites but that is not always the case in the UFC and it may not be the case in UFC betting.  When UFC first came on the betting scene the underdogs did very well and paid big prices and many gamblers have not forgotten that fact.  That has made underdogs popular in marquee events and that may be the case in UFC odds as well.

Keep in mind as you look at UFC odds that most bouts go three rounds although some Championship fights will be scheduled for five rounds in UFC betting.  Keep that fact in mind if you are betting over/under round options in UFC odds.
