Jon Fitch Vs Thiago Alves in the UFC 117 Betting Contest

March 17th, 2021 UFC Betting

Jon Fitch is in for great action. The world will be watching the UFC 117 betting contest with keen interest in seeing how things play out.

Some of the diehard MMA betting fans will be watching the up and coming fighters or simply looking for top-shelf UFC betting competition.  Serious sports betting fans will be looking for good UFC 117 odds opportunities to wager on.  But the rest of the world will be watching the UFC 117 betting action to see if Anderson Silva –the best fighter on the planet- has actually lost his marbles and perhaps catch a glimpse of him doing something crazy in the Octagon during the UFC 117 odds action.

But there are better reasons to tune into the UFC 117 betting action then just to see if Silva is crazy.

One of the top fights in the UFC 117 odds is a welterweight bout between Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves on the main card.  On some UFC betting cards this could stand alone as the Main Event.

Fitch is one of the top welterweights in the world, perhaps the second best behind the legendary Georges St Pierre.  With a career record of 22-3 he’s enjoyed tremendous success in the MMA betting competition and his only loss in UFC betting has been to St Pierre.  He’ll bring a 12-1 record in UFC events to the UFC 117 betting action.  One of those wins is over Thiago Alves that came all the way back in 2006 and ended in a TKO of Alves.

Alves will obviously be looking to get a little pay back for that loss in the UFC 117 betting match but it’s probable that he’ll end up on the mat once again with yet another loss to Fitch.  Alves begin a promising career in the UFC betting but has never been able to live up his potential.  He’s 16-6 as an MMA professional and since losing to Fitch he’s done well going 7-1 in the UFC betting.

Also like Fitch, his single loss is to St Pierre, which was actually his last fight.  He’ll obviously be looking to avoid losing this second straight bout in this UFC 117 betting matchup but Fitch should come out on top once again.
