Online betting fans looking for an intense match to wager on already know that UFC 202 will provide just that. Sure, every sports fan in the world will be tuning in to watch McGregor attempt to get his revenge but a quick look at the official fight card will reveal there is another much lucrative bout. With all the hype surrounding this highly anticipated rematch many UFC fans haven’t been exposed to the rest of the scheduled bouts.
Part of this is because of how big of icons Diaz and McGregor are, and the other part can be attributed to lack of publicity the other fighters get. There’s no denying that the fight between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor will be electrifying but the betting odds reveals there is a better way to make a quick buck with your bet on UFC.
UFC 202 McGregor vs. Diaz
Nate Diaz 2 ½ (+105) -105
Conor McGregor 2 ½ (-125) -115
UFC 202 Mizugaki vs. Garbrandt
Takeya Mizugaki 1 ½ (-165) +310
Cody Garbrandt 1 ½ (+135) -400
The odds for the Mizugaki vs. Garbrandt are much higher. McGregor and Diaz are evenly matched and while McGregor is the slight favorite Diaz has already proven he can eat the Irishman’s wild punches. Mizugaki comes in as a huge underdog and part of that is Garbrandt’s impressive 4 – 0 UFC record with an overall record of 9 – 0 in MMA. Garbrandt made his UFC debut back in January 2015 at UFC 182. He won his first fight against Marcus Brimage by TKO in the third round and has won 3 of his four fights by knockouts. With such an impressive record its clear there is a lot more riding on Garbrandt than his Japanese counterpart.
Mizugaki’s record in MMA isn’t nearly as impressive as Garbrandt, but it is much longer. With 21 wins 9 losses and 2 draws Mizugaki is no stranger to putting on the gloves. Even though you couldn’t tell this by looking at the odds Mizugaki is well-respected in the UFC and is actually ranked 13th overall in the official UFC bantamweight rankings. While he is respected Mizugaki is not the most feared fighter in the UFC, but he might be the smartest. Mizugaki’s education includes a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Kanto Gakuin University. While that is certainly an impressive achievement, online betting fans know a degree doesn’t help out too much inside the octagon.
