UFC 118 Betting – Boston Hosts Exciting UFC 118 Fight Card

March 22nd, 2021 UFC Betting

Boston, Massachusetts will host UFC 118 and there are some great bouts in UFC betting.  The headline fight in UFC 118 odds is the one between Frankie Edgar and B.J. Penn for the lightweight championship.

UFC 118 betting favors Penn by about 3-1 over Edgar.  It is rematch for Penn who lost his title to Penn in UFC 112.  There are five feature bouts in Boston on Saturday, August 28th with Edgar-Penn being the headliner.

Huge Odds:  UFC 118 odds at the Sbg global sportsbook are huge on the bout between Randy Couture and James Toney. Couture is expected to take down Toney and pound him into submission. He is a -700 favorite.  A UFC veteran against a boxer is not expected to be much of a match but UFC fans are excited as they want to see Toney get destroyed.

Main Card:  Also on the main card in addition to Edgar vs. Penn and Couture vs. Toney it is Demian Maia vs. Mario Miranda, Kenny Florian vs. Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz vs. Marcus Davis.  The bout between Maia and Miranda should be a rout by Maia but the other two fights should be good.  Florian is a slight favorite over Maynard while Diaz is a 2-1 favorite over Davis.  Both of these fights might end up going to decision and one of them could easily end up as fight of the night.

Preliminary Card:  The preliminary card starts with two bouts that will be shown on Spike TV.  It will be local fan favorite Joe Lauzon taking on Gabe Ruediger and Andrew Winner vs. Nik Lentz. Lauzon will be looking to avoid getting into trouble against Ruediger who is a submission expert. The undercard also includes John Salter vs. Dan Miller, Nick Osipczak vs. Greg Soto and Mike Pierce vs. Amilcar Alves.  The bout between Miller and Salter should be good as both are known for their wrestling skills. Alves has been fighting in Brazil and has an 11-1 record. This will be his UFC debut.

It has been an exciting month of UFC action and UFC 118 should be no different. Most people expect that Penn and Couture will win as heavy favorites but anything is possible in the UFC.
