The second main tennis betting option is the matchup.  This is where you bet on player against another.  Usually these tennis betting are posted when the tournament is in the late stages.  You may see earlier tennis odds posted but most sportsbooks wait until the quarterfinals, semifinals and Final.  Tennis betting matchups are easy to understand.  You might have one player at -150 and the other player at +130.  You risk $150 to win $100 or you get $130 for every $100 wagered or the 13/10 equivalent.  Matchups are money line bets similar to what you see in baseball and hockey.

As you look at tennis remember the two basic choices you have.  The matchups are probably where you will find more value but if you want to take a flyer on a long-shot then betting a player to win a tournament is the way to go.
