2009 Australian Open Odds at SBG Global

Australian Open odds are available on the men’s and women’s side of the draw for the 2009 Australian Open which begins on January 19th and concludes February 1st. Australian Open betting odds have the top players listed on both sides of the draw. Australian Open have Roger Federer favored on the men’s side while Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are favored on the women’s side in Australian Open . Federer is about 2-1 while Williams and Sharapova are about 5-2.

Following Federer on the men’s side of Australian Open odds are Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic. Each of these three is between 2-1 and 4-1 on the Australian Open betting board. Last year Federer lost to Djokovic in straight sets in the semifinals of Australian Open betting. Djokovic went on to win in Australian Open odds last season defeating Tsonga in the final.

On the women’s side, Maria Sharapova was the Australian Open winner, defeating Ana Ivanovic. A total of $20 million (AUS) will be on the line in the 2009 Australian Open and almost all of the top players in the world will be in the field.

On the men’s side in Australian Open you have the top four players listed at less than 10-1 followed by Jo Wilfried Tsonga at about 16-1. Juan Martin Del Potro is next at about 27-1 in Australian Open odds. David Nalbandian is listed at 30-1 in Australian Open odds. He is followed by Nikolay Davydenko and Andy Roddick at 40-1 each. The rest of the field is listed at extreme longshots. The only player of note worth mentioning is Lleyton Hewitt at Australian Open  of about 90-1. Also keep in mind that the field is listed at 5-1 in Australian Open betting odds.

On the women’s side in Australian Open you have Serena and Sharpova followed by Venus Williams, Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic at about 6-1 each. Dinara Safina is 10-1 while Elena Dementieva is 16-1. The rest of the players are 20-1 or higher in Australian Open odds.
