The sportsbook NASCAR odds are wide open for Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona. There are actually seven drivers listed with single-digit odds at the offshore sportsbook to win Saturday’s race that can be seen on TNT television. Anything can happen at Daytona and the last lap is always wild and exciting.
Sportsbook NASCAR odds list Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kevin Harvick at odds of 8-1 while Kyle Busch, Jamie McMurray, Jimmie Johnson, and Jeff Gordon are all 9-1. Since Daytona is restrictor plate racing it makes sense that the odds are close since the race is very unpredictable.
Stewart won the July race at Daytona last season so he is a definite contender to win on Saturday night. Stewart was able to get past Kyle Busch in last year’s race thanks to a push from Denny Hamlin. Stewart was second last week and when the weather heats up so does his performance.
Kurt Busch is not among the favorites at the offshore sportsbook but perhaps he should be. He is listed at 13-1 but based on his recent performances he should be favored at Daytona. He has scored more points than any other driver in the past five races. He has been in the top 10 five times in his last six starts at Daytona. Busch is way overdue to win at Daytona. Another consistent driver at Daytona has been Kevin Harvick. He has seven top-15 finishes in his last nine starts at Daytona and top-10 finishes in two of his last three Daytona races.
Could this be the week that Dale Earnhardt Jr. finally breaks his long losing streak? Daytona would be the perfect place to do it. He has two career wins at Daytona and he has been in the Top 10 in three of his last five starts at the track.
It has been a poor season for Roush Fenway Racing but Matt Kenseth has finished eighth or better in his last four Daytona starts. He is an interesting choice at odds of 22-1. Since Daytona is a track where anyone can win, it has become a good spot for first-time winners. The field has some appeal this week at NASCAR betting odds of 10-1.
