Tiger Favored this week in Golf Odds on the Sportsbook Page. Even though he has not won in almost a year and hasn’t been a factor at all in recent golf tournaments, Tiger Woods is the heavy favored in golf odds at the sportsbook page. Woods is 3.5 to 1 at the offshore sportsbook to win the Bridgestone Invitational which begins on Thursday.
The golf numbers on the sportsbook page at SBG Global list all the other golfers in the field at double-digits odds. Phil Mickelson is the second choice at 10-1. He is followed by Lee Westwood at 12-1 while Rory McIlroy and Padraig Harrington are each 18-1. Steve Stricker is 20-1. It is a stacked field this week at the Bridgestone Invitational as Luke Donald. Ernie Els and Paul Casey are 30-1.
Tiger has not won a tournament since September of last year. He has played very well in the past at Firestone but whether or not that matters or not is the question. Woods is still the world’s number one player although they must do something weird with the rankings to figure those numbers since Tiger has not been a threat to win all year. If Tiger is ever to regain his form it should be this week as he has won at Firestone seven times in nine starts. His worst finish is fourth.
The European players could be the ones to watch this week. Casey has five top 10 finishes in seven starts at Firestone. Luke Donald has six top-three finishes this season and could do well. Padraig Harrington was second in Ireland last week. Lee Westwood is always a threat and he was the runner-up in this event two years ago.
If you like big names who can win at big prices then this is your week at the offshore sportsbook. Jim Furyk is 32-1. Retief Goosen, Ian Poulter and Martin Kaymer are 37-1. U.S. Open champ Graeme McDowell is 48-1. Anthony Kim is back after an injury and he is 48-1. Henrik Stenson and Camilo Villegas have odds of more than 50-1. British Open champ Louis Oosthuizen is 61-1.
This is a big week for many of the top players with the PGA Championship coming up next week. The Bridgestone is a perfect tune up event and most of the top players in the world are in the field.
