Texas and Kentucky Still Lead College Basketball Online Sportsbook

Online sportsbook still has Texas and Kentucky as the only two unbeaten college basketball teams. Texas is #1 in the country in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll while Kentucky is #2.  Both survived last week but they may have a tougher time this week vs. sportsbook odds.

Online sportsbook has Texas as an underdog in their first game this week as they visit Kansas State on Tuesday.  The Longhorns are about a one-point underdog against the 10th ranked Wildcats at the sportsbook.  If Texas is able to survive that game they still have to play at Connecticut later in the week.  Texas received 57 of the 65 first-place votes this week in the AP poll.

Kentucky was #2 in the poll and they received eight first-place votes. Kansas is at #3 this week followed by Villanova and Syracuse.  Michigan State, Duke and Tennessee are sixth, seventh and eighth.  Pittsburgh made a huge jump this week from #16 all the way to #9.  Kansas State rounds out the Top 10.  It is the first time the Wildcats have been in the Top 10 since the 1972-73 season.  To stay there they will probably have to upset top-ranked Kansas in online sportsbook results on Tuesday.

The second ten begins with West Virginia. They are followed by Georgetown at #12 with Purdue at #13.  The Boilermakers have dropped like a rock after being in the Top 5 earlier this online sportsbook season. They are followed by BYU at #14, Gonzaga at #15, Temple at #16, Clemson at #17, Wisconsin at #18, Georgia Tech at #19 and Northern Iowa at #20.  Online sportsbook stats indicate that it is only the second time in history that Northern Iowa has been ranked.  Northern Iowa has won 15 straight games overall.

The last five in the AP poll are Ohio State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, North Carolina and Baylor.  Ohio State was ranked earlier this online sportsbook year but then Evan Turner got hurt. He is back now and the Buckeyes look much better at the sportsbook. North Carolina probably shouldn’t be ranked at all with their six losses.  Online sportsbook stats indicated that this is the first time North Carolina has been ranked below 13th since 2006.

Connecticut fell out of the Top 24 as they have lost three straight. Miami fell out of the poll as well after losing twice vs. sportsbook odds.  Florida State also fell out after losing to NC State.
