Sportsbook results have not seen the Washington Wizards be very successful this season. The team is already looking to next sportsbook NBA season as many of their moves indicate. The latest of the sportsbook online moves have the Wizards buying out center Zydrunas Ilgauskas and waiving him.Sportsbook had the Wizards getting Ilgauskas as part of a three-team trade that sent Antawn Jamison to the Cavaliers. Ilgauskas never played for the Wizards and he could end up back with the Cavaliers. Cleveland has to wait 30 days under league rules before they can sign Ilgauskas but all indications in sportsbook online circles are that will happen.
Ilgauskas was able to get his buyout from the Cavaliers which really makes him a free agent. Sportsbook indicates that NBA league rules say that the Cavaliers have to wait 30 days though to re-sign him since teams can’t trade players and then get them back until after a 30 day waiting period. Ilgauskas is averaging 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds this sportsbook NBA season. “We agreed to terms with Zydrunas on a contract buyout, giving us further financial flexibility and allowing our young big men to continue to develop over the remainder of the season,” Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld said.
Ilgauskas could sign with another team immediately but all sportsbook online indications are that he will return to Cleveland in 30 days. “I’m expecting to talk to about half a dozen teams in the league — including the Cavaliers,” Herb Rudoy, Ilgauskas’ agent, said. “He’s not going to rush into anything. He has time. He’ll let me know what he wants to do.”
There looks to be two main contenders for Ilgauskas’ services as sportsbook has it. A return to the Cavaliers is logical as sportsbook indicates since they could use Ilgauskas as a backup to Shaquille O’Neal. Sportsbook online also has it possible that he could go to Dallas. “He definitely has some options to think about and one will definitely be the Mavs,” Rudoy said. Cleveland is one of the favorites to win the NBA title while the Mavericks look much improved since getting Caron Butler.
The NBA has said that will not prevent Ilgauskas from returning to Cleveland since the rules are in place that allows it to happen. Only if evidence was found that a deal was worked out beforehand would the league step in.
