The latest Top 25 poll is out and the Arizona Wildcats have their best regular-season ranking in 12 years after their win vs. the odds at the sportsbook website this past week. The Wildcats are up to #14 in the poll. The top five in the poll remained the same and they all dominated this past week against the college football odds at the online sportsbook.
Top Five Domination – Alabama, Ohio State, Boise State, TCU and Oregon easily covered the spread this past week. Alabama crushed Duke, Ohio State rolled over Ohio, Boise State routed Wyoming, TCU dominated Baylor and Oregon humiliated some team called Portland State.
Michigan State Enters the Top 25 – One of the most exciting games of this past week was Michigan State vs. Notre Dame and the win by the Spartans in overtime over the Irish was enough to get them into the Top 25. Head coach Mark Dantonio had a heart attack after the game but he is expected to be fine.
Nebraska is sixth in the current AP poll and they are followed by Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and Arkansas. The Razorbacks move into the Top 10 which means we will have a matchup of two top 10 teams on Saturday when top-ranked Alabama visits Arkansas in a game that will be on CBS. That is the highest profile game this week at the sportsbook website.
Second Ten – Wisconsin is at #11 in the AP poll followed by South Carolina, Utah, Arizona and LSU. Stanford comes in at #16 and they are followed by Auburn, Iowa, Miami of Florida and USC.
Final Five – Michigan is at #21 followed by West Virginia, Penn State, Oregon State and Michigan State. Houston was the one team that fell out of the poll after they lost this past week. The USA Today poll has a couple of other teams to watch as Missouri and Oklahoma State made the rankings.
