Sportsbook Website – Westwood Will Pass Tiger This Month for #1 in the World

Sportsbook – Westwood Will Pass Tiger This Month for #1 in the World. Late this month you will see a change in the World’s Golf Rankings with Lee Westwood overtaking Tiger Woods for the top spot but the odds at the sportsbook website will still probably favor Tiger the next time he plays. It takes a long time for the World Rankings in golf to change and it seems to take a long time for the odds at the sportsbook to change on Tiger.

Finally – Woods has been at number one in the world rankings but those rankings are so screwed up it is beyond ridiculous. It is about as bad as Tiger being favored in every tournament he plays.  The oddsmakers still haven’t realized that Tiger hasn’t won in over a year.  Which is worse, the World Golf rankings or the ridiculous golf odds that continually favor Tiger?

World Rankings – Lee Westwood will overtake Tiger late this month in the world rankings. And he will do it without playing.  That is how screwed up the rankings are.  Woods has not won in more than a year so he should have fallen from the rankings long ago.  The Official World Golf Rankings are so messed up that it is hard to fathom.  Some people at the Sbg global sportsbook have compared the rankings to the BCS but the problem with the World Rankings is that they go on a two-year rolling calendar which is simply ludicrous. Just stupid are the rankings?  The rankings are based on a 40 tournament minimum for the two year period.  If a golfer doesn’t play in at least 40 tournaments he is penalized in the rankings.  Carrying any rankings over a two-year period is simply stupid anyway.  But now you know why Woods has been ranked at number one for so long.  Why he still gets respect at the sportsbook is another story.

Rankings Will Change – The true number one player in the world right now is Martin Kaymer. He has won each of his last three starts including the PGA Championship.  But the rankings don’t have him at number one. That could change by the end of the year. The next event worth noting at the sportsbook website is the HSBC Champions event in Shanghai in early November.
