Andy Carroll had the hat trick in the victory for Newcastle.  Aston Villa has looked very bad so far this season and Newcastle humiliated them even further.

Best and Worst:  There is no surprise at the top of the Premier League as Chelsea leads with 6 points and a huge goal differential of +12. Arsenal and Manchester United are two points back with Arsenal having a solid goal differential of +6 while United’s is +3.

At the bottom of the league is Wigan who has lost both matches and been outscored 10-0.  West Ham is not far behind having been outscored 6-1.
