Sportsbook Website Odds Favor Boise in their Last Season in the WAC. The 2010 college football season will be the last one for Boise State in the WAC and they are heavily favored at the sportsbook website to win the conference title again. The Broncos are also national title contenders as they have sportsbook odds of 8-1 to win it all.
Sportsbook website odds list Boise State as a 2.5 point favorite in their season opener against Virginia Tech. That game figures to be the toughest one this season for the Broncos and it will decide if they have a chance to play in a BCS bowl game this season.
This will be the last season for Boise State in the WAC as they move into the Mountain West Conference next season. Boise has not gotten much competition in the WAC. The Broncos have won the conference title seven times since 2001 and they are heavily favored at the sportsbook to win it again. Boise returns almost everyone from last year’s team that went unbeaten.
Boise State has gone unbeaten in the WAC the last two seasons and they have never lost a conference game at home. With 20 starters returning the Broncos shouldn’t lose a conference game this season either. Their only two tests on the schedule look to be the opener against Virginia Tech and a home game against Oregon State. Boise State is led by quarterback Kellen Moore who has already thrown for 64 touchdowns and more than 7,000 yards in his college career.
If any team is to upset Boise State this season it would probably be Nevada. They return quarterback Colin Kaepernick and 14 other starters. Their only conference loss last season was to Boise. They get the Broncos at home on November 26th. The other team who might give Boise a game is Fresno State as they return 16 starters. Idaho is also a team who might be able to score with Boise as they return 18 starters from last year’s squad. The Broncos do have to visit Idaho this season but that might not be much of a road game since it is in the same state. Even though Boise has a high profile they were a very profitable 9-5 against the spread last season.
