Sportsbook Website – LSU Jumps into National Title Picture

Sportsbook Website – LSU Jumps into National Title Picture. The LSU Tigers have come out of nowhere to get into the national title picture and they could be a team to watch down the stretch against the odds at the sportsbook website. LSU got a major win this past week as they upset Alabama, 24-21.  The win has put the Tigers into the national spotlight and improved their record to 8-1 straight up although they are just 4-5 against the football odds at the online sportsbook.

How is LSU Winning?
If you watch LSU and look at the statistics you wonder how the Tigers are winning games.  Head coach Les Miles does some crazy things but with his team he sometimes has no choice.  The offense for LSU is simply not very good as the team has two quarterbacks, Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee, neither of which is very good. The offensive line is not that great and the running game is just average. LSU is 74th in the country in points scored this season. Somehow this team is 8-1 though, just beat the defending national champs, Alabama and is in the national title picture.

LSU’s National Title Chances
LSU could actually play for the BCS title without winning the SEC.  LSU has only lost one game this season and that was to Auburn.  If LSU wins their remaining games this season and Auburn loses then the teams would tie for a title but LSU would lose the tiebreaker because Auburn beat them.  LSU would not go to the SEC title game while Auburn would.  LSU could end up higher rated though if Auburn would lose either that game or before then.  It has happened before.  In 2001 it was Nebraska who didn’t play in the Big 12 title game but still played Miami for the national title.  LSU has four teams in front of them.  Oregon and Auburn are the top two and they are followed by TCU and Boise State.  LSU needs some help but it isn’t as farfetched to see the Tigers in the national title game.

LSU has three regular season games remaining. They will be favored at the sportsbook website this week against Louisiana Monroe and then they will be favored at home next week in college football odds at the online sportsbook as they host Mississippi.  The Tigers then finish the regular season at Arkansas and the odds at SBG on that game will likely be a field goal or less.
