Sportsbook Website – Lincecum Struggles Worry Giants Bettors. Two-time National League Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum is struggling and costing gamblers at the sportsbook website some serious money.
The San Francisco Giants are trying to stay with the San Diego Padres in the National League West but they are not getting much help from Lincecum. Gamblers at the offshore sportsbook are now wondering what to do with the Giants when Lincecum is on the mound.
Sportsbook website odds almost always favor Linecum and sometimes he is a big favorite. It is easy to see why. He has been great the past two years and the odds makers have to jack up the price when he pitches. This season though he has not made gamblers any money.
Record: Linecum is 11-7 on the season and that doesn’t sound so bad until you realize that he is oftentimes a big favorite. If you bet on Lincecum you lost nearly five units in three games. That is tough to recover from. He was simply shelled last time out against San Diego when he allowed eight hits and six runs. He didn’t even make it out of the fourth inning. In his last 10 starts he is 3-5 with a 4.91 ERA.
Linecum’s struggles are a major problem for San Francisco. They are in a fight for the National League West and they are in a three-team race for the Wild Card. They can’t have their best pitcher going four innings. That is simply unacceptable. He is the franchise, the freak, big time Timmy Jim. He needs to start earning his money. Did the Giants make a mistake by trading veteran catcher Bengie Molina? It sure looks like it as Lincecum is simply not the same pitcher. Throwing to a rookie catcher in Buster Posey is not working for Tim Lincecum.
