Sportsbook Website – Key Georgia Player Suspended for Saturday

Sportsbook Website – Key Georgia Player Suspended for Saturday. When you look at the odds on Georgia’s game at the sportsbook website for this week’s game keep in mind they will be without one of their starting running backs.

Washaun Ealey, who led the team in rushing last season, has been suspended for the season opener on Saturday against Louisiana-Lafayette.  The Bulldogs are still heavily favored at the online sportsbook since they are playing a poor team in Lafayette but their running back depth has been hurt.

Sportsbook website numbers list Georgia as a 28-point home favorite against Louisiana-Lafayette. The loss of Ealey could be important as Georgia is laying a lot of points.  Depth becomes a factor late in the game when you are laying four TDs in a game.

Bettors at SBG Will Still Take Georgia – Even with Ealey being out you won’t see many people taking Lafayette.  I mean really, are people going to bet Louisiana-Lafayette on the road at Georgia?  It isn’t going to happen no matter who is out for the Bulldogs.

Caleb King to StartThe Bulldogs still have a very talented running back in Caleb King.  Georgia would have liked to have split carries this season between King and Ealey but that won’t happen in the opener with Ealey out and it may not happen after that. Head coach Mark Richt is very upset with Ealey.  The sophomore was driving with his license suspended and he hit a parked car in the school parking deck just after 3 am on Friday.  Ealey was arrested on misdemeanor charges and released. Richt is upset because Ealey is now the eighth player to be arrested this year. Ealey had 717 yards rushing last season to lead Georgia.

Georgia Could Still Cover:  The Bulldogs can still win and cover on Saturday vs. the college football odds at the online sportsbook without Ealey.  They have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball and Richt seems to be using all of the off-the-field issues to motivate his team.  The Bulldogs are at home and they should have no issues with Louisiana-Lafayette.  Laying four touchdowns is never easy but the Bulldogs may have a chip on their shoulder in this contest and they may be out to prove a point on Saturday afternoon.
