Sportsbook Website – Huge Upset as Browns Shock Defending Champion Saints

Sportsbook Website – Huge Upset as Browns Shock Defending Champion Saints. One of the biggest upsets in a long time happened on Sunday as the Cleveland Browns not only covered the NFL odds at the sportsbook website, they won outright at New Orleans against the Super Bowl champion Saints. And the Browns just didn’t win by a point; they dominated the Saints and got a 30-17 win that surprised most bettors at the sportsbook.

Brees Throws Four Picks

Quarterback Drew Brees threw four interceptions, two of which were returned by Cleveland’s David Bowens for touchdowns.  The Browns won even though Cleveland quarterback Colt McCoy threw for just 74 yards.  Peyton Hillis scored the only offensive TD for the Browns on a four-yard run. It was the Cleveland defense that won the game as they confused Brees all day.  Bowens had two interceptions while Scott Fujita and Sheldon Brown also had interceptions. They sacked Brees three times.

New Orleans Never Led

Normally when you get a big point spread shocker it is a late victory by the underdog.  Not this time.  This time the Browns led from start to finish and won as a huge underdog both straight up and on the money line at Sbg global.  The Saints pulled to within 20-10 in the fourth quarter but Cleveland picked off Brees again.  Brees has now thrown 10 interceptions this season after throwing only 11 all of last season.  The Saints outgained Cleveland 394-211 but they continually made mistakes. Brees was 37 of 56 for 356 yards and two touchdowns but he made far too many mistakes.

Saints 4-3 SU, 2-5 ATS

Is the Super Bowl winner curse happening again this season when it comes to the point spread?  It sure seems that way as the Saints have been a point spread disaster, going 2-5 ATS.  New Orleans is still above .500 straight up but they are not a team you want to take right now against the odds at the sportsbook website. It is not going to get any easier next week for the Saints as they host the Pittsburgh Steelers.  If the Saints thought the Cleveland defense was tough they haven’t seen anything yet.  The Steelers will really put the pressure on Brees this week as they look to get the road win.
